|
Background:
|
In June 2017, the Board approved revisions to the Employee Handbook. In an effort to align the Handbook to district policy and procedure, the Administration is recommending revisions to Administrative Policy 6.15, Criminal Background Screening. The Administration no longer requires candidates to disclose convictions on the application. The Board has also created a Background Check Appeals Committee to review the written appeal of any candidate who was rejected through the criminal background screening. The revisions also reflect a change in the department's name, from the Office of Human Capital to the Office of Human Resources.
