Background:
|
The MPS Ambitious Instruction Plan is closely aligned to the Five Priorities for Success and has a strong emphasis on reading, writing, and mathematics. The Ambitious Instruction Plan sets high expectations for students and develops cultural competence with a focus on language acquisition based on context and connects student learning to lived experiences. The plan promotes the use of differentiated formative and summative assessments to inform instruction. Staff members work together to understand learners.
To ensure the Ambitious Instruction Plan is implemented with fidelity, the Ambitious Instruction Roadmap was created to delineate corresponding professional development on a month-by-month basis beginning in October 2018 through the end of the current school year.
